PRESENTATION SKILLS
Verbal and Nonverbal Presentation Skills
​
I am confident in my ability to present my ideas in front of small and large groups. I am a state-ranked competitive public speaker, have competed at Harvard National Debate Tournament, spoken at the Michigan Undergraduate and Graduate Research Conference, perform monologs and speak on television and radio for various pageants. I also teach presentation skills to students at the high school and collegiate levels.

I have been a Leadership Safari Guide for two years now which has allowed me to learn facilitation skills that have transformed my personal leadership style. I have had the privilege of working with about fifteen students total during their transition from high school to college; I have worked to mentor them as a leader so that they may grow as individuals who are ready to change the world. I have helped five of these participants become leadership safari guides after their first year at CMU; I would like to think this evidence that I have helped to shape leaders in this world.

As a student and a professional, I have developed written communication skills. Notably, I have produced a literary review that gained me an invitation to present at the Michigan Undergraduate and Graduate Research Conference. Written skills are an essential foundation piece to what makes up a well-rounded individual and have allowed me to develop critical thinking skills. Click below to see some writing samples.
